------------------

Hello World is a proposed multi-user web environment placed into an urban environment. This project partly political, partly just plain fun aims to create a simultaneously virtual and physical space that would allow for unexpected and interesting user experiences.

Participants standing in Yonge-Dundas Square with Wi-Fi-enabled devices, as well as anyone worldwide with internet access, would be able to play a multi-player online game that is being broadcast on one of the large media billboard screens overlooking the square. The site was chosen for this type of interaction due to the controversy between the public/private forces that use and control the space.
